4th Post-Elisabeth

Sorry this is late. Lack of internet at our apartment is making these posts difficult. Miss Hollie was very open to having us in her classroom. She loves teaching and her students and likes talking about them. It sounds as though her students are very loyal to her, so it’s hard to know how they will respond to us being there, especially if we break with the pattern she has set up. It sounds as though she organizes her units in a similar way; she starts with some sort of film clip, makes lists, has students write and perform scenes that cover the content area. Breaking from that pattern may upset some students. But it sounds as though she has a good group of students who like to perform and get involved in what is happening. And the structure she has in place sounds like a good way to approach the content she has asked us to cover, so there may not be a need to break from her pattern. And it seems like she will be very supportive of us and what we decide to do. I’m excited for it!
